Y'all, I am not familiar with the 320, however, I have shot and carried several Sig's and am a huge fan. I have never had one jam, double feed, misfeed, etc... I am completely sold on the Sig! The last one I carried was the P229 .357 Sig I am still saving my pennies I want to buy one so bad. It is mean, fast, sexy and dangerous as hell, for the bad guy. Ok, I have no idea why it is sexy but I guess I got caught up in the moment. I think the move to the Sig is long over due. I think the move from the 1911 to the Beretta was a mistake but I do think it was time for a little update. I think the Sig will be a great fit.

Me too I personally own a Sig p229 .40 S&W. Good ding easy to take apart and clean and very easy to put together. If I don't buy American German or Belgian is the way to go.

I know the move from 1911 had to do with the whole NATO standardization. I welcome the Sig p320 personally was never a fan of the Beretta it was just too big cimbsy for me to wield. Sig I always was fan of their grips and look foward to this weapon. I know it hit some road blocks because it had defect of weird you strike the back of the weapon or drop it hard enough it goes off, but Sig is in the process of fixing it.

Don't have much knowledge on side arms, but looks and sounds like a good thing from other posts.

The firing on dropping does not affect the military version of the P320 (M17). It uses a different fire control group, with a lighter trigger, and has an external safety selector. They are actually using M17 parts in the civilian "Voluntary Upgrade"
