@PO1Tony Holland 10 or 15 years ago in a ante-room of the old NEX at 29 Palms; I heard the CG’s spouse give the “We are your Marine Family” pitch to a group of young spouses whose Marines were were deploying! The General’s wife spoke of the family support and resources available at 29 Palms versus the spouses returning to their homes of record during the deployment. Many of those young ladies, and I, were impressed by the heartfelt feelings expressed by the CG’s spouse!
