They said, "Massive errors in FBI’s Active Shooting Reports regarding cases where civilians stop attacks: Instead of 4.4%, the correct number is at least 34.4%. In 2021, it is at least 49.1%. Excluding gun-free zones, it averaged over 50%."
That's quite a discrepancy. For it to pass repeated notice by the reviewers of FBI reports is suspicious.

"Citing the ‘Crime Prevention Research Center’ as a reliable resource is extremely problematic. Despite the intentionally innocuous name it is not some neutral research organisation but the guns right advocacy organisation of John Lotts author of ‘More Guns, Less Crime’, ‘The Bias Against Guns’, and ‘Freedomnomics’. The titles give some hint as to the author’s biases, as does his position as a columnist at Fox news."

As someone who cares about statistics and their misuse, I would have hoped you would recognise the problems in how sources like the CPRC…

So.... you don't like the source. Got it.
But is there something wrong with the DATA? An author's bias is only relevant in research if that bias transfers to the data or analysis. So, where, specially, do you see the author's alleged bias affecting the research? How, specifically, is the bias evidenced?
If you cannot articulate that, you are just whining that someone you don't like is presenting facts you don't like.
