Mattis: Deploy-or-get-out rule is about fairness

It's only fair, and I am glad someone is willing to push for this. That it's SecDef just makes it all the better.

There's going to be a lot of butthurt senior enlisted and officers that have been riding permanent profiles for years, but this needed to happen. What good is a warfighter that can't fight wars? Not every MOS is designed for deployment in mind, but when you have senior combat arms soldiers indefinitely nondeployable then to me that's a problem. Yes, they have experience and can train other soldiers, but that is not their only job and by staying in service and holding a slot they are denying the advancement of other more able-bodied soldiers to fill their place.

Permanent non-deplorable verses not permanent must be handled differently!
