WOW! The church has adopted the "casper-milqetoast" version of Jesus that forgets that He cleansed the Temple twice. Jesus was, and is, Christus Victor, and His followers are also called to be Warriors.
One of the hardest hitting books I have ever read is "Jesus Was An Airborne Ranger", by Army Chaplain John Mcdougall. The subtitle is "Find your purpose following the Warrior Christ".
We have also forgotten that one of the great hymns of the faith is "Onward Christian Soldiers".
I am a sheepdog, and I refuse to be defanged!

That book is on my list. I've debated Christian pacifism at length. God is a man of war, and He expects us to be capable of war as well. The only way to find Christian pacifism in the Bible is to start by assuming it's there.
