When we lived in New Mexico, I had to tell my kids that their teachers/school officials have no right to ask about my guns.
Three years ago we moved to Wyoming; now I ask teachers what they carry, when I run into them at the range.

The author is wrong about one point. Conversations between patient and doctors IS protected. By both HIPAA laws and doctor/patient confidentiality. Getting past those laws in the legal system is very burdensome and requires a search warrant and “special master.” It is a very difficult task and rarely used.
That being said, it’s completely unacceptable for a doctor to be asking questions about gun ownership.

Thankfully, most of the doctors I know are gun owners themselves. If I ever run across one that asks those types of questions they will either receive a blank stare or a you don't have a NTK.
