It's easy for anyone who takes medicare as a payment to rake in the bucks. Ever look at your statement after a doc's visit... they have line charges for EVERYTHING. They can add in crap and the patient will never know, because they only get partrially charged and their co pay is small and not itemized.

They have been several reports of cyber criminals filling for claims... You will find a big junk of that money with these criminals... It is time consuming...

Gayane Badalian-Very MD. Ph.D - Dr. Badalian-Very; It wasn't all that long ago that most of the states had laws requiring that hospitals and medical insurance companies be "not-for-profit". When those laws started to go away then the "bang-for-the-buck" of people's health care dollars started to decrease.

Every state must have a healthy combination of non-profit and for profit section. The issue is not the for profit health care, but the pseudo non-profit health care that are abusing the government infrastructure and operate in the gray zone.
