While it is sad,particularly as a gun owner that would like to get a nice m1... I would ask you to go back and read the article in reference to your "anti-2nd Amendment policies of this administration". Clearly you missed the part that stated "The massive metal shredder has been in operation since the early 1990". This administration (regardless of anyone's political views) hasn't been in that long so no real need to politicize it with a skewed agenda.

This is sick; this PC insanity now infects the military to the bone it would seem.
When I was at Eglin AFB in '68-'70 they were hauling small arms ammunition out beyond the shelf in the Gulf of Mexico in barges and dumping it rather than allowing it to be sold on the civilian market. That was the first time I saw this liberal insanity being enacted by our military. Now it has gotten far worse.
