This is important for those who suffer and for those who assist in treatment, Especially for those who are transitioning out of the military!

CSM (Join to see) Thank you for posting so many options along with explanations of each. A couple of years ago, while working some particularly difficult cases as a Sexual Assualt Nurse Examiner, MST symptoms flared and I was given a trip and room at a hospital specializing in PTSD. It took them four days to realize I was the only woman on the unit and not a particularly therapeutic environment. In fact, at the time, there was a single nurse, no groups or therapy of any kind, no social workers, and one doctor who made it quite clear that seeing the patients on this unit for three minutes each was an unreasonable demand on her time. My hope is that service members, veterans and family members- yes, military service takes a toll on every member of the family- is triaged correctly, diagnosed correctly and receives sufficient care and follow up to live with the issues they have.
