How do you violate the law by revoking rules established by an executive agency?
That doesn't make sense.
I know there is a process to review and revoke regulations, but is the judge's ruling that the Trump administration violated the process or "the law"?
At any rate, I dont see the harm from having businesses report this, aside from administrative burden. Nor do I see why it is the federal government's business what Acme pays its workers by race and gender.
Sounds like government collecting information for the purposes of facilitating lawsuits.
There is a process for that; it involves getting a warrant.
