Don't really care how he got the contract. Did he do good work?
Of course, I believe that should have been the criteria of granting the contract in the first place. Who can do the best job for the lowest price? Now if all other things are equal, sure, throw it the way of the DC. But carving out specific contracts for vets or for DVs cuts out competition and ensures higher prices and/or lower quality.
(P.S. This is not meant to state that DVs are low quality or expensive. But if they are as good AND as cheap, then let them compete on that basis.)
(P.P.S. I am rated 100%, so please don't play the "you don't know" or "you don't care" cards.)
