We used a Military Athlete PT plan in the 1-501st IN prior to our Afghanistan deployment for "mountain prep" and it was essentially a boring knock off of crossfit. Thousands of ruck step-ups onto a box and lots of Turkish get-ups with ammo cans. Good for large groups, but hardly innovative.

I'm sure these plans are effective. But I'm skeptical of the cost. There's plenty of resources out there without forking over a dime.

I haven't seen that first link before, I appreciate the share!

The only real benefit I see, specifically for the SFAS plan, is the timeline. They have a 10 month train up plan that seems perfect for civilians to go from 0-100. I know for some of the other plans available, like the one you shared, it is very important to already be in good shape and not everyone who wants one of these contracts is in "Army" shape.

I agree though, it does seem awfully expensive.
