LTC Eric Udouj Wonderful article, sir! Marshall, perhaps Eisenhower, was probably the last great prudent military leader of popular knowledge (notice the qualifier before everyone loses their sh*t) that we have had. I know there have been others since, but they are not as publicly prevalent as the politician has overtly inserted themselves into warfare these days.
I think we could use a great number more as we have a currently leadership issue across the board. And while we may have greatly prudent people as the Chiefs of Staff, it is the people between them and the rest of the ranks that could use the same prudence.
