Zero tolerance policy we were always told but, never seemed to be enforced very well IMHO.

When you start stripping commanders of their oversight and for any crime you are taking away authority that will undermine their position...no hammer no control...problem is we need to start hammering commanders that don't prosecute the right way versus putting this inn the hands of lawyers.

Not in my memory...I have seen wing kings crucify and take wings off of pilots chests for infractions. I have even seen wing kings removed for not taking action as well...in recent history.

Yep...in recent years I have seen in more such...when I came in in '85 it was a definite old boy network...as long as you could fly you were golden and no commander wanted to be known as that commander that grounded and kicked out the "golden child"...nowadays it is handle your business or I will get someone who can.
