I have seen them close sections of Ft. Bragg during Deer Season also. There is so much land you can easily find another area just as good.

I always hunted with archery on Fort Hood, Tx. Several times I showed up to hunt on a weekend to be told military training takes precedence over hunting. This is as it should be. I never experienced training being canceled because deer hunting took precedence over military training. I am sure it could have happened without me knowing as I never tracked such things. On occasion I would get invites to hunt on private property which I always preferred over military hunts because of the uncertainty of military hunts being canceled due to training events. I don't hunt for horns but for venison. I am always happy to get a doe I don't need any trophies.
