I'm not sure how I feel about what he said. I do agree with him on some points, while others leave me wondering. I do think we have seen a huge change in the way wars are fought over the last 15 years. We have been facing enemy forces that use highly unconventional fighting techniques. While there were times that we may of had a front, I think we more often than not did not have a front in Iraq or Afghanistan. The "front" was where the enemy was and at times, that was all around you. I think after the success seen within the special forces community, people have fallen in love with the idea of "shadow warriors" and the thought of a small force going in and getting the job done faster. Is that the correct approach for the mainstream Army?

The only thing I can think of is this.........I do not believe ANY of the GO's that end up on the battlefield will ever go without a shower or a chow hall. We lowly folks will, but I doubt they will. RHIP.
