How does "less than 50%" compare to the other labeled generations with the same periods by yearly average?
NOTE: I have noticed in some case the generation labels "shift" as the years pass. For instance the label the greatest generation used to include both WW2 and the Korean War but Korea has been dropped. Likewise the time from 1965 to 1975 had several labels namely the Vietnam Era, The Peace or Love Generation.
A more detailed list generally broken down as
The Lost Generation — born 1883-1900. ... Apparently there aren't many records of "kids from that era. When I was a youth I remember that generation included people up through 1915.
The Greatest Generation — born 1901-1924. ... My memory is that this began in 1915 and ended in 1925.
The Silent Generation — born 1925-1943. ... Pretty much the bad years of the Depression.
The War Generation — born 1943-1947 ...
Baby Boomer Generation — born 1946-1964. ... The era when I was born and grew up to adulthood.
Generation X — born 1965-1980. ... (see above)
Generation Y — born 1981-1996. ... Soviet Union fails/End of the Cold War, First Gulf War..
Generation Z — born 1997-2012. ... Escalating Terrorism.
Generation Alpha — born 2013-2025. The 9-11 war years - though I pretty sure this generation's name is not yet set in concrete since its only now the year 1922. Personally I think its stupid for any generation to let the Media methheads name their life experience.
