"Teens and young adults who take these drugs for their stimulatory properties are at risk for serious side effects, including dangerously high BP, irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing, seizures and tremors, and mood disorders. At consistently high levels or with repeated use, stimulant-based ADHD drugs can cause stroke and such cognition changes as confusion, hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia."

I got my counseling records yesterday. Everything in there just screams "mentally unstable" yet ever since I got off the medications I have been 100% fine and can EASILY pass a psychological evaluation. As I was looking through my counseling records (Kept from age 7 to age 13,14ish) I noticed a trend that the doctors didn't/didn't put down. Hallucinations and an unclear state of mental health. I looked up what taking these kinds of medications will do to someone who does not have ADHD and it clicked...Everything in that file of records had a direct correlation to being on the medication without having ADHD. And I mean EVERYTHING. Everything in that file, I have found is linked to ADHD medications having the absolute opposite effect on a person...Something that happens to people who dont NEED the medications and continues to take them anyway. As a child, I didn't exactly have the information readily avalable, nor the voice to speak out against this...but as an adult, I do. With what is in the file, there is no chance in hell I will be getting a DoD psych consult...not even with the 2 psychological evaluations I passed in both 2018 and 2019. Unless I can somehow prove to the doctors at MEPS that everything in that file is a direct cause of being medicated without need.
SO, where is this going you might ask...Well I will tell you my friends. I need help. I need to ask a question WITH my link. How do I convince the docs at MEPS that this information shows true, and that a consult would be the best course of action so they can see for themselves?
I know its not an easy question to answer...but please...its been a lifelong dream of mine to serve, and I don't want documents from 6+ years ago to hinder my chances. If you know anything about what I could do, please, I implore you to notify me of the options.
