They really should not mess with SMs pay. If I was active duty I would save that extra money so the impact of recoupment does not impact me, thus, negating the intent of this awful financial action.

I keep hearing about this as if it is directed at military personnel. It isn't. It affects all workers. I belong to several financial groups and most of the civilian ones have not mentioned this. Every military group has.
