I am the first and only officer in 4 generations. I was raised by enlisted both at home and during my years of service. I truly believe the enlisted guided me to be the officer I was and still am! I salute all of them that took the time to support, educate, yell at me and guide me!

Individual platoons, companies and battalions don't have any more officers than they've ever had. The extra officers are on staffs and sitting at the Pentagon.

The adjutant General's in all the states and territories. We had this discussion before the Army Reserve and National Guard and not going to merge any state wants to have its own two-star General.

When I first joined Civil Affairs in 2006, the team leaders were Majors and they were changing that to Captains. Special Operations civil Affairs also allowed Majors to be company Commanders.
