Remember that media's purpose it to sell, sensational headlines lead to more revenue.
The Army's medical community is undergoing a transition, all soldiers will be in deployable billets. They are doing away with the strictly clinical jobs and transitioning them to civil service or contractors.

Yes, seen things like this in the past which is why I'm not overly concerned. However younger service members need to be aware and not panic when a lot of their family medical care gets moved off base.
