Here in Wisconsin photo ID and proof of residency if address on ID is different than the location where you are attempting to vote are required. The federal government should adopt this. No fee photo IDs can be obtained from the DMV for those who don't possess one. Wouldn't happen here.

Ohio has strict rules around photo ids and the registration, the poll worker can match the signature to the registration, do they usually do this, NO, but they could.
Sounds sad if that was really the reason she lost but if it was she should have dragged it out through the process and proved her point. Don't cry about after the fact.

MSgt Robert C Aldi - I agree, you would think with the makeup of both the Senate and Assembly it would have been much quicker.

We can monitor every electronic emission, but can't manage setting up a process to screen voters for multiple voting? Or being a citizen?

Mind boggling, isn't it. The problem is the same day registration and easy access to false identification. At least it isn't as bad as Chicago, which in one election a loooong time ago had more votes cast than there were residents in the city. Hence the saying "Vote early and vote often!"
Wait a minute! Didn't we recently have a President with Chicago ties?

Sorry - In all fairness and for accuracy, that election story is probably from New York and the whole Tammany Hall stuff, not Chicago. But then again, it might be both.

If there were "bus loads" of people voting illegally in New Hampshire, and it cost Senator Ayotte her Senate seat....can someone explain why she didn't contest the election results?

Alan K. - I met her once at an American Legion function. She would always get my vote. I think the Republican hierarchy unnecessarily dumped on her and hung her out to dry.
