For those wondering why people have lost faith in the impartiality of senior bureaucrats and believe there may be at least SOME truth to the theories about a deep state and its support for Democrats.....

See attached article.

Anyone who believes these officials have changed since they left office is deluding themselves. And if they are willing to openly try to tip the scales now, when they have little to no power, what were they doing in secret when they did?

I cannot remember, before 2008, any similar large scale group endorsement of a political candidate by former senior government officials. Or a similar large scale malicious thrashing of one.

I am nowhere near an insider. So I cannot definitively state that there is a massive "deep state" political regime that is dedicated to pushing forward Democrat candidates and Democrat policies. But all evidence I can see certainly supports such a program, and I would have absolutely no way to show ANYTHING refuting such an assertion.

If government officials want to be trusted as nonpartisan, perhaps they should stop being so partisan.

But then, all the evidence I can see in Project 2025 suggests the right wants to create a ENTIRELY partisan government.

MSG Stan Hutchison The majority of these individuals are not political appointees. And they are FORMER officials. Your attempt to rationalization and not alize their partisanship falls completely flat.

The fact that you cannot recognize former government officials both endorsing one candidate and bad mouthing another as partisan only shows you have a very bad case of ostrich syndrome.

SFC Casey O'Mally - MSG Stan Hutchison not alize = normalization. I hate autocorrect. Especially since alize isn't even a word.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Have you actually read all 900 pages or are you just repeating what you heard on NPR? Aside from the obvious fact that NO Republican President as far back as Reagan ever based his administration on what they recommend. Just what section and chapter do you disagree and why. I don't have any issue with the recommendations on VA and I think the call to cut the number of General and Flag Officers is a good start. There are 44 Four Star's the last I counted, we fought WWII with 7. There are over 900 General and Flag Officers.

When analyzing the approximately 18 million veterans in 2023, there is support for Donald Trump among certain segments of the U.S. military, particularly among veterans. According to a Pew Research Center survey in 2019, 57% of U.S. military veterans approved of Trump's leadership as commander-in-chief and about 48% believed his administration's policies strengthened the military. This approval rating is notably higher than that of the general public, where only 41% expressed approval of Trump's military leadership at that time

Among Republican veterans, support is even stronger, with approximately 92% approving of Trump as commander-in-chief. In contrast, only 6% of Democratic veterans expressed approval of his leadership. Additionally, an AP VoteCast survey indicated that 59% of military veterans voted for Trump in the 2020 presidential election, demonstrating a significant level of backing from this demographic.

700 former military versus ~18 million makes for an improved statistical analysis.

You mention 2019. It’s five years after Trump’s legitimate loss. Opinion and political landscape is far different today.

LTC Eugene Chu - The 2019, 2020, & 2023 data was the best statistical data available. After this election, we may have updated data. My goal is to provide quantitative evidence that can support claims with measurable facts. This includes expert testimonies from authorities in the relevant field. scientific research that provides context and support. This avoids personal non-supportive opinions and creates an environment for evidence-based argumentation or evidence-based reasoning creating an improved discussion or debate.

For way too many years a lot of senior officials/leaders have shown themselves to be political animals instead of doing their assigned job.
