"Military Spouse" is the toughest job in the military.

One of the things that I still recall was when I was doing a Returning Warriors Workshop for sailors coming back from an IA deployment. The speaker was a female CAPT (Navy O-6) whose husband was also Navy. Both had been deployed. Both had stayed at home. Both agreed that the Spouse had the more difficult role.

Military spouses have to carry so much of the parenting burden -- while the SM is in garrison (and training in the field), and obviously during a deployment. Frankly, I don't know if I could do it if I was in the same position...
