I remember the first time I saw a C-5. I was newly arrived at Yokota AFB in Japan, and my sponsor picked me up and took me to lunch in the terminal, who's entire wall was glass facing the flight line. A big airplane sat off in the distance, with nothing else around it. My sponsor pointed to it and told me that it's the biggest plane in the world (he was wrong, the Antonov is bigger by about a foot, but neither of us knew that then). I said, no way. It was obviously big, but with nothing around it to compare to, it just looked like, say, a 747. Then one of those big industrial Ford F-450 trucks drove up to it and parked next to one of the landing gears, and the tires on that thing absolutely DWARFED that truck. Then my jaw dropped, heh. It merely needed a sense of scale.

Thanks MSgt. It has been my pleasure to deliver death to so many who need it in the form of the US Marines and their wonderful toys. I can also add that the Marine embark troops (red pants leg stripe) are a true pleasure to work with. Joe Wilson TSgt USAF (ret) C-5 loadmaster.

Friggin Hog, A Monster, I've done a couple of Trips in One. Always bothered me seeing the "Play" in the Wings, They appeared to ever so slightly Flap.
