If they turned off the gas, they have to check every house. It took two weeks when it happened here

This is great news and jives with what I'm hearing from family members down there. It seems like folks braced for another Katrina and that helped lessen the blow in LA and MS. If we aren't going to do anything to combat climate change, we can at least brace ourselves for the effects from it. Unfortunately PA and the NE US had to suffer as much as they did. This will just get worse.

Thank God they didn't have a cold snap like texas did to boot. Evidently the term 'Hardened' in association to the Louisiana power system, has a different meaning than I would associate with it. After what I've seen of the systems total destruction, I'm thinking more along the lines of --Lowest bidder. My thoughts are with you.
