I just wish that Leftists stop calling themselves"liberal". There's nothing liberal about them and they give real Liberals a bad name

CPT Jack Durish, they were called "progressives" back in the Wilson administration, and they were thoroughly disgraced by the results of their policies. As is their habit, they "fixed" their reputation by switching the name of their movement to "Liberal".

Now that their policies have sullied the "Liberal" reputation, they are switching back to "Progressive" again, since those that knew about their previous reputation have all died out.

Their disastrous policies remain the only constant with this movement.

Pleasantly surprised, but guardedly sceptical. One of millions doesn't offer much hope. Here's to hoping she's not the only one, and that I'm just a washed up old cynic.

"I am tired of their undisguised contempt for tens of millions of Americans, with no effort to temper their response to the election with humility or empathy.

I am tired of their unexamined snobbery and condescension.

I am tired of their name-calling and virtue-signaling as signs of supposedly high intelligence.

I am tired of their trendiness, jumping on every left-liberal bandwagon that comes along (transgender activism, anyone?) and then acting like anyone not on board is an idiot/hater.

I am tired of their shallowness"

SN Greg Wright, she is not alone. I have friends that were life-long Democrats that switched during the Clinton administration when his character became clear - along with the Democrat Party's uncritical defense of his indefensible behavior.

I find letters like these to not bear much weight. It's less an argument than an unattributable feel good piece. I think a much better conversion story is Collier & Horowitz's "Destructive Generation"
