I wish we protected the right to vote like we protect withdrawing money from a bank, protect underage drinkers with an ID, require proof you are a state resident to buy a firearm, to prevent youth from smoking, from getting on an airplane. The list that goes on where you have to prove who you are except for voting, anyone can vote without proof of identity. That sounds like voter fraud.

A question I would pose is why is a district map even being drawn in 2017? The census happened in 2010, and districts would be redrawn based on population changes in the subsequent legislative session. Since then, we have had four national elections. How is it that this is still in dispute in 2019, a year before the NEXT census?

SSgt Ray Stone - I don't think there should be any absentee ballots, outside of the military and embassy staff (and a few other, narrow exceptions). They are too rife with fraud opportunities, as we have seen several times in recent years.

SSgt Ray Stone - The one I stated above. Those would be the only absentee ballots I would allow.
Part of the problem is that 50 states have 50 different sets of rules. Some standards pushed down from the federal government - at least for the federal elections - would go a long way towards levelling the playing field.
