This video is from 1999 British Air Show with two f-8 Crusader Jets from the French Navy.


This was supposed to be the last fighter plane that actually had a 20 mm Cannon as its primary weapon. This was called the last of the gunfighters but now we have learned that you do need a Gatling gun and not just rely on missiles.

These planes were being retired when this video was made but the French navy was smart to buy these planes because they are designed for takeoff and landings on from the French aircraft carrier. They were most likely from the aircraft carrier Foch the French had a service from 1963 until 2000.
