...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
MONDAY AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind
Watch...which is in effect from late Sunday night through Monday
afternoon.
* Winds...30 to 40 mph... gusting to 65 mph.
* Timing...Winds will gradually increase Sunday night... then
rapidly increase Monday morning, peaking by late morning, and
gradually diminishing Monday afternoon.
* Locations include...Highway 31 between Summer Lake and Paisley,
and higher terrain west of Winter Rim. This also includes
Highway 395 south of Alkali Lake, and highway 140 east of Adel.
* Impacts...Driving conditions will be dangerous, especially for
high profile vehicles. Stronger winds could down trees and power
lines, and cause flying debris.

A High Wind Watch means there is potential for a hazardous high
wind event. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of
58 mph or more can may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
