Good. If an asset is too expensive to risk proper testing, perhaps it should be reconsidered. Glad they decided to go through with it. I'd give my left nut to be on her when they do it - that's a once-in-a-lifetime thing. There's also a neat vid of the Truman doing high-speed turns. Not often you see a carrier at a 15 degree angle.

That ship was commissioned to go into harm's way, and if there is a design flaw it is far better to find out in a controlled test environment than in battle. We had better start making certain that the equipment purchased meets the specifications and that we have properly trained and experienced crews to fight with that equipment. Otherwise, this is a very expensive/delicate watch that can never be used for more than decoration.
