And people thought Reagan's 600 ship Navy was a stupid idea. And we also ditched the infrastructure to support it.

CAPT Kevin B. Sir, I served (1966-1990) and part of that was in Reagan's 600 ship Navy and it was a force to Reckon with for sure. Even the Russians bowed to it. It was our C-in-C that ordered our battle group to cross Qaddafi's line of death in 1986. He had enough of him and it was all over in about 24 hours and there was not much left of the Libyan Military! And not a boot on the ground either. That is what a 600 ship Navy and a mighty Air Force can do, and Reagan had the guts to use it too! I have been applaud by the decimation of our military since than, but it will make a come back!
