Navy Helicopters Run Right Into Each Other On A Japanese Runway

I'm guessing since Japan has left side driving, that when the pilots realized they were heading for each other, the newly assigned pilot turned right, like in the US but the other pilot, having been driving in Japan for a while, instinctively turned to his left, and they drove right into each other.
