SN Greg Wright my thoughts are the same as yours brother. Our Navy has way too much of an important mission for this to continue.

Someone should do a comparison graph: Number of Admirals vs. Training Deficiencies and budget shortfalls. I read that we have more Admirals than at any time in history, and it just seems like we are getting less and less done. Unfortunately, with shipyards, they never want to make huge capital outlays for new stuff (like drydocks) unless they can tie it to a new Navy contract so they don't have to pay for it. It is somewhat extortion... hey we know you want to get your ships fixed, but you know we just don't have the ability to do that job right now. Navy says what do you need, yard says new drydock, and bang boom taxpayer dollars buy the yard a new drydock! I could be biased because I spent a lot of time in shipyards....

SN Greg Wright Was Just out at the Nuclear Navy Homeport of Bremerton. I'm sure that those wanting extra funding will Portray a Crisis what I saw was Far Short of a Crisis. Don't Get Me Wrong Please Send More Money, I Love It. My Clan Loves it but the Shock Value is Wasted On Me.

Bremerton isn't a shipyard though is it, CTO1? I might be wrong. I spent some time in the hospital there with Mono between A school and my first duty station.

SN Greg Wright Since the Closure of Alameda, It is Now the Home of the Nuclear Navy. Best Outfitted for any Refitting and Redisgn of any Navy Nuclear Ship or Boat. It is the Bomb as I noted 2 Months Ago.

SN Greg Wright - When I witnessed the conversion of USS Ohio from SSBN to SSGN was only the Beginning. Not that I'm Complaining, I'm a Nuclear Spook but it has taken Off Like I Wouldn't Have Imagined and my Son and Grandchildren live in the Footprint of What I Created.
