Navy says cyber sabotage played 'no role' in USS John S. McCain incident

The more I look at this, the more I wonder whats happening. Unrestricted visibility, extra people on radar duty, full lookouts etc....How in the HECK could the ship have been in danger without someone noticing? It's not like tankers are small and invisible. Alternatively, a small part of me wonders if it could be state funded terrorism. But why wouldn't they know that?....frustrating.
