I will believe it when I see it but I like the list of Notional Warfare Systems. If it works out the Navy will get a highly capable force multiplier platform at a reasonable cost. This is the only way we will get to over a 300 ship fleet

LCDR (Join to see) Wow, this is exciting, and makes me wish I was a younger man so I could live long enough to see this happen! I hope for the sake of the Navy this comes to pass, but I just fear they will only get what they pay for.

CWO3 Randy Weston - Absolutely! I was a combat systems officer, but I can't imagine what these ships will do or could do! I would love to be able to serve and fight the ship!

CDR, if you are familiar with the acquisition process, you know the MIC bids a skeleton ship that meets the lowest bid requirements. Then, through the well known change orders, flesh out the bid price by about a 50% increase in cost, minimum.
