Nearly 12,000 US Troops Will Pull Out of Germany at Cost of Billions, SecDef Says

I believe the German youth as well as the American youth do not know why the American Troops are there in the first place. When I was stationed there, you would hear "Yank go Home", now that it is happening, the youth of Germany will see how the American's stationed there affected there economy. I believe with the movement of the troops to other countries will bolster the host nations economy. With the movement of American Troops to Eastern European Countries still gives Germany the same protection that they were receiving from the United States, they get the benefit with out the Americans being in there country, its a win win for them

SFC Kenneth Hunnell - It may be a win win for the politics but it will still be a financial loss in those that leave will now spend their money else where.

Financial loss for one, a financial win for another. But in the end, we still get the bill.
