Good on him. He knew what needed to happen, but was also wise enough to know that if he didn't cover his trail, he would suffer. While he may still suffer consequences, something tells me he is at a point in his career that it would not matter greatly.
He rocked the boat at the most appropriate time, and got the attention of the right leaders (CSAF & CMSAF). Let's hope changes stick, and continue to occur.

Lord Stark was offered clemency if he took the black and joined the Night's Watch.
Look how that turned out.
Given a choice between a posting in Thule or worse, the Pentagon, this good Colonel would be wise to retire. His point has been made, and no matter what "Big Air Force" says, upsetting the apple cart has consequences.
COL Lamb sounds like a good man. He should parlay that into a sweet consulting gig and get paid to speak truth to power.

1SG (Join to see) That's exactly why I think he's at the point in his career that he really can't suffer. While he got good attention from CSAF, there are many that stand between CSAF and the rest of us that can cause good policy to get warped upon implementation.

Some yearn to curl up 'neath the dragon's wing... while other dreams of being consumed by dragon fire. Unfortunately, for most of us... we probably end up spending our careers crawling through a lot of dragon crap just trying to figure out if he's even real.
