The people in the picture appear to be holding voter identification. What a novel concept! THIS is what happens when people truly appreciate the ability to vote, they make the effort to do what is necessary and get themselves to the polling place. I also like what happens when they vote -- they don't get an "I voted" sticker, the get their thumbnail cuticles sharpied. It's not quite as loud and in-your-face as dipping your whole thumb in indelible ink like the Iraqis do, but nobody is going to be able to clean their thumbnail area in time to make a second fraudulent vote. (Not saying anyone would have been inclined to vote multiple times, but in that sense it's like padlocks for honest people.)
