Thanks for sharing the site. I finally have some answers about this test however, I'm not looking forward to implementing it on the Guard side. It's going to be a nightmare of a CF - but hey, we adapt and overcome right?!

Agreed,I think the PT Test will start being held during annual training if this goes through. It’s the only time you’ll have all the time you’ll need to accomplish it

SFC (Join to see) - agreed. I've had a discussion with my CDR and his concern is the time it will take to get the people trained, the equipment purchased, and the time to actually take the test. They're still trying to work out the details on how to score this thing as well so there's still a big question mark out there.

Thank you! This goes to show that urinalysis sometimes done multiple times during the year and the new combat fitness test, not much is going to get done on some drill weekends. My unit gave us a PT test on very short notice. Luckily I work for a courier company and I scored 283 points. God help those like me who don't go to the gym and practice the deadlift. a few years ago before I was 50, I could brag about getting a 300 on my PT test, now I'll just be happy to say I passed. Our Xbox and Playstation generation is going to have a lot of people who aren't going to make it. A lot of older guys like me are going to have a harder time as well. between this and the pink and greens, is this necessary?

I'm going to get killed on the run. I have joint problems and only run about 18 minutes. The new test will have me trying to hit 16. I am 7 months into recovery from a broken tibia. I am expecting to be put on permanent walk or bike. Don't know hat's going to happen when the new test goes live. Looks like a med board in my future and just 3 years before I get my 20.

The Pink and Greens no, a change in the PT Test yes... But, this has been coming for years! The real question with this change is are we going to see more systematic injuries followed at the VA or reduced - that ought to be the question... How much research was performed, we will obviously see! Once again, was this the right move for the mission - I think so with the changes of how we are fighting, and under the conditions. The physical adaptations our troops are making is not enough and some of these newer PT standards will hopefully get them there!

One of the requirements: “○A soft, flat, dry test area approximately 40m x 40m on grass or artificial turf (half of a soccer or football field)“.
