I think it is a good idea, if they are qualified they should be boarded, because in some units favorites are played and a spec 4 who is qualified may be passed over for another simply because he is liked better by the chain of command.

That should go with him to the board, not just his promotion packet if they are going to automatically send them, in my opinion. Retired so I don't have to mess with it any more.

I had the same issue in the ng, had a 300 pt score, and nothing but positive councellings, and a soldier that hadn't passed a pt test in over a year and was excessively overweight and just a shit soldier all around got a promotion over me because he was dating the commanders neice.
