New Army rules set the stage for NCO promotions surge

That's great. Maybe I will make SGM after all. LOL!!!!

I can see us promoting them to fast without knowing how to be a Non-Commissioned Officer. I know when I retired the up and coming NCO weren't being prepared for their new position and their seniors didn't want too. So when I tried to teach them I was told to stop sticking my nose into other NCOs business. There were things in the SGM course that I learned while in 19 series PNCO at Fort Hood TX back in 1980.
So if our most senior NCO Academy is teaching from the 70s and 80s what are we teaching the lower ranks.
And now sense we are on the down side of this war we're going to promote everyone that has a combat patch, just because a person wears one doesn't prepare one for leadership.

Thats a Good Thing I just Hope they have the positions for the troops to move into...
