The Green New Carbon Tax Deal begins Monday for 3 unlucky provinces who must have lost out in court. This is the dream for Canada's Liberal(Democrat) Prime Minister Justin Trudeau .
This Carbon Tax has been around for 2 years in Alberta. I just filed my Canada-Alberta tax return online yesterday and I did not see a refund on the Carbon 'Levy'(another name for a green new Canada deal. A great deal for another government tax scam that goes up from now to 2022 and stays there). I paid about $180 in the last 6 months just on the 'carbon levy' on my natural gas bill. I'm not going to turn my thermostat to 50 degrees F. Greedy Green Canadian Politicians know this.
I currently pay about 25 cents a gallon in carbon taxes on gasoline. The article also has another error: It mentioned the carbon tax is not in the USA. Not totally true. California, ( the second lowest rated state that has carbon taxes, huge debt, corroding infrastructure, illegals under sanctuary status and american welfare street bums who cant be legally forced by Police to not sleep or live anywhere, Legal Pot, green regulations and high taxes) is the only state with the Canada Model of bad public and energy policy.
Like I said. Crazy Cortez' Green New (BAD)Deal is being tested and implemented in a dummied- down scale in Canada. If you elect any Democrat in 2020 just yell 'BOHICA' (Bend Over, Here It Comes Again!) starting in 2021.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - What did we have pre-ACA? In 2000 and before? How did they do health care? I do not remember complaints or even discussions about it? Now we hear about health care all the time. Where did this come from?

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint Your memory does not serve you well. Pre ACA healthcare premiums were increasing at an exponential rate and more and more chose to not have healthcare simply because they couldn't afford it. Discussions didn't necessarily revolve around the quality of healthcare, but rather on the fact that more and more working Americans couldn't afford it. In the late 90s and early 2000s I saw more and more of our employees opt out of company provide health insurance because they couldn't afford the monthly payroll deductions or the annual deductables just were beyond their ability to cover. ACA helped but those who thought it meant they would get cheap healthcare were disappointed.
