My gosh he is stupid and ignorant. How can someone be that stupid? In the 1930s the Dept of the Navy had contemplating getting rid of the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps said who will conduct the amphibious attacks? The Navy essentially thought about it and said you do have a point.

The quick response capability of the Marine Corps is all the more reason to keep those assets, NOT discard as this so called advisor suggest. Not all of our adversaries are National, well trained military forces and We need to remain and grow as flexible units of response. Don't burn all Your bridges, You may need to cross them again and once they are gone they are gone.
I don't however see any need to have added another branch of service, ie Space Force. Maybe He should be thinking about that. There was already a Space Command within the Air Force structure which was already doing the jobs tis new branch of the service was picking up. We already have unified Commands which involve other branches of the service. Maybe other have opinions on that subject, maybe I'm wrong but would be interested in what others may think on that issue. I'm not for removing functional branches of the Armed Force but adding another whole branch to take over what a major Command is already doing and making a larger bureucratic setup doesn't make sense to Me.

He sounds to me3 like someone that is more focused slamming other branches of the service while making only the Army great. Well each branch does have its separate functions, and all are part of an effective machine that doesn't need part taken apart to inflate this guys ego. Creating inter service friction between branches is the last thing We need and that just exactly what He seems to advocate despite the problems that very same thinking has caused in the past. Ask General Billy Mitchell of WWII fame if He though this was good thinking ? I somehow think He might have agree with Me !
