This week on our official podcast, Home Base Nation: Unity of Purpose - Reflections on Boston Hope, a COVID-19 Field Hospital. Boston Hope was a partnership between the State of Massachusetts, The City of Boston, Mass General Brigham, and Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. Boston Hope provided care and respite for more than 700 people from Greater Boston in the Spring of 2020. The 1,000-bed facility relieved pressure on the area hospitals and brought healing and hope to many during a time of uncertainty. The episode highlights a conversation with Boston Hope leadership about the public/private, military/civilian effort. Check out the new episode featuring Incident Commander Brigadier General (ret.) Jack Hammond, Deputy Incident Commander, Michael Allard, and Medical Directors Jeanette Ives Erickson, R.N., D.N.P. and Giles Boland, M.D..
