Kilauea Volcano erupting again in Hawaii … Lived on Oahu for 4 years when I was growing up & my father was stationed at Schofield Barracks. Got to visit the Kilauea Volcano when I was in grade school on a school trip. Quite a scene and visit to the various Volcanoes on the Big Island! Merry Christmas & Mele Kalikimaka to all Rally Point members!

The biggest mistake in my life was made right after HS. I think my father who was well cultured and educated wanted me to go to Hawaii for college so he could vicariously live through me. I also think he wanted me to have some fun. He said he would pay for college, buy me a car, and I could stay in the condo they owned. I had just turned 18 and did not trust myself going to Hawaii, so I said I would go to Texas for college. That is where I met my miserable ex wife and my life was fvcked after that. I should have gone to Hawaii.

LTC (Join to see) I Never Made it over to the Big Island while was at CINCPACFLT but I had a front row seat for one of the largest eruptions in a century. I'm a Mt Pinatubo Survivor.

Wow, quite a story PO1 William "Chip" Nagel ... That was quite an eruption, for sure!
