Thanks PO1 Tony Holland for alerting us that a new highly virulent strain of ransomware cripples networks. It is interesting that the " highly virulent strain of malicious software that is crippling computers globally appears to have been sown in Ukraine, where it badly hobbled much of the government and private sector on the eve of a holiday celebrating a post-Soviet constitution."

This worm reads more like a horrific centipede from the way its shutting down networks. A stand-alone hardware firewall sounds like a better idea every day.
