Thanks for making us aware SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that the USAF personnel chief Lt. Gen. Gina Grosso announced that officer performance system revamp is likely to echo the wide-ranging reform of the Air Force’s enlisted performance system.
Granted it will take years to execute and evaluate its improvement to the USAF personnel system's effectiveness.
It seems interesting that "that one reform enacted for enlisted airmen — moving all airmen of the same rank to a unified static closeout date — could also be a part of the new officer system."
It makes more sense to me to stagger the closeout date because if every USAF airman of officer could potentially be promoted or exit the service there would most likely be far more available that required which may force many NCO's and officers t consider leaving the service if they are not promoted.

LTC Stephen F. roger that on the closeout date being staggered, its just the logical solution for the masses to create clarity in a changing system that's still in its infinite stages IMHO.

And still stupid. OPRs are a joke when everyone is #1 of something and they basically write their own. Then they are reviewed by people that have never performed a function in the service other than to be a pain in the butt and sent back for grammatical errors or idiotic fluff words. You should be able to rate someone as effective or not effective. PME can't be on an OPRS but when you complete it out off phase or early it should be. Dumb system that wastes more time but I am closer to the end than the beginning. How is this evaluating someone? Hell I don't even get feedback on if I am doing a good job. Someone keeps buying off on this being an effective evaluation system. Do we always have to classify everything?

Lots of moving parts in this system. The main concept is keep it fair and transparent
