There are so many other things that need to be addressed and some genius is up there thinking hmmm how about another new uniform for Soldiers to buy. I guess I joined the Army for the fashion.

The same genius who switched the APFU, black socks, tattoo policy (that was a good idea), supports the new APFT (won't be delivered for another 20 years), but hey enjoy your Ike jacket with your PT belt around the waist.

Complete waste of time, money, and effort. You cannot give decent money for training budgets for combat units, but we have money to make ANOTHER uniform change?

You are crazy. This is the best motivator element, in all past 30 years of service.Think about new classical and elegant service, light duty uniform, plus the recruiting image for new soldiers.
This uniform would had been the best, during my past military career.

SSG Walter Corretjer - Umm NO. I spent my first five years in the Army wearing hot ass winter Dress Blues, heavy ass coroframs with cheaters, Class A's and Class B's for every single stupid ceremony Ft. Myer could stuff in one day. Only people who want to wear their dress uniforms regularly are those who want to "flex their rack" on someone else as if the person being flexed on cares. If a dress uniform is your litmus test, by all means go buy one, kit it out, and go to every parade within a seven continent radius. I don't care about what "looks good, is sexy, gets attention". I'd rather see my Joes in school, in practical hands on MOS/Combat training that would make them an actual asset to the Army not a bunch of Ken dolls that look good, but can't do shit.

Also it's a waste of time and money when your own rack sets you back a cool hundred dollars to get made with no gaps, your rack of medals is triple that, and you're used to throwing out ribbons every six months because you can't see the "V" in the ribbons anymore and that is a requirement by the unit. Clothing allowance doesn't cover that, and they were not issued to us back then. You bought em. But hey I also had to maintain four sets of Blues (2x Winter 2x Summer, 2x Class A's and 2x Class B's) A's and B's while are the same, they wanted them separate just in case. Again you weren't issued the second set, you bought it. Imagine the entire Army having to actually maintain all these uniforms because they "look cute".

Give the Joes realistic and informative training that will help them and the Army succeed.

SFC or any enlisted soldier shouldn’t be buying uniforms. We all know that the initial issue is free and all enlisted are paid an annual stipend for purchase & maintenance of uniforms.
