Man, that would be cool to strap on my NCO sword and go the mall but I think I will stick to my concealed 40 caliber Glock for now.

why not, Texas law allows people to carry weapons to defend themselves with, int he worst case a crazy with a sword is less dangerous than a crazy with a knife..

I Live in Delaware, as long as it is not concealed I can wear a claymore sword as I walk down the street and people have been able to since the Brits left
